Management and Leadership Program

You have an international background and have been appointed manager in Sweden. You are responsible for managing people with a Swedish background. You are facing the challenges of cross cultural leadership! This is a program for managers who have more than a couple of year’s experience of having personnel responsibility and who seek answers to leadership questions. You will not get ready-made answers. You will find your own answers and a great deal more. The sooner you develop your understanding of cross cultural leadership in a Swedish context, the greater the enjoyment for yourself and the greater the benefit for your employees.

The program covers the following aspects of leadership:

Cross Cultural Leadership

What happens when managers and direct reports from different cultures meet? Are there any cultural differences to consider? How can we bridge and turn the differences into interesting dynamics instead of perceiving them as obstacles?

Personal insight

To develop your leadership you need to have a good personal insight; you have to know who you are, and how you act and react in different situations. One of the program’s objectives is to raise the participant’s awareness of the importance of personal insight and gives the participants meaning and understanding of their own behaviour.

Personal Leadership Style

The participant’s personal leadership style is identified and analysed based on personal inventories that indicate their strengths and weaknesses.

Coaching

Awaken the potentials in the individuals and the group. Achieve results through others.

Delegation

Methods that help develop people in the staff and at the same time, develop people in management positions.

Conflict Management

Conflicts cannot be avoided. This program teaches how one can handle them when they arise.

Feedback

Constructive criticism and praise are powerful leadership tools. Criticism should be delivered in a very clear and precise language and in a manner that does not awaken defence mechanisms.

Change Management

The program includes training of the ability to manage change in both headwinds and tailwinds.

Communication

Theories and training with the objective to develop clear and strong communicational skills. The participants train their ability to listen and to avoid misunderstandings.

The Group and Group development

Theories and training in order to identify different roles and characters in the group and how to create a team spirit.
